| Listed below are links to specific plan documents for each employee group. All Teachers are covered by a MESSA Choices II PAK plan including Health, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drugs, and Group Term Life Insurance. Teachers currently contribute 20% of the premium costs for these plans. Support Staff and Administrators are currently covered by a partially self-funded plan for Health Insurance coverage. This is a Blue Cross/Blue Shield Community Blue PPO plan. The district purchases a lesser plan and then self-funds better benefits through its third party administrator, Michigan Employee Benefit Services. Support Staff currently pays about 15% out of pocket toward the premium for this plan. Group Term Life is also purchased by the district on a premium basis. Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug plans are also self funded through MEBS. Self-funding means that the district pays based on actual usage versus a higher premium amount. District administrators also have Short and Long Term Disability coverage and some additional Group Term Life. All these coverages are described in the documents attached by the links below. | ||
